Stage 4’s accommodations are magical for many pilgrims. This stage marks the first night spent inside Casentinesi Forests National Park. Overnight options include a mountain rifugio, camping, the 10th century Monastery of Camaldoli, and the sacred hermitage.
Consider splitting this stage and sleeping at Rifugio Asqua. If you are targeting the Camaldoli Foresteria, contact Camaldoli Monastery during Stage 2 or earlier.

Experience tranquility and serenity in a 1000-year-old forest of the Tuscan Apennines at the Foresteria del Monastero di Camaldoli. The beautifully preserved monastery is operated by the Ordine di San Benedetto.
